Infrastructure Engineer
Overview: We are seeking a skilled and proactive Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and support our IT infrastructure. This role is critical in ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of IT systems that support core organizational functions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with on-premises environments, networking, storage, virtualization, and enterprise system administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and run scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure solutions.
- Perform system administration tasks including maintenance, upgrades, patching, and monitoring of servers, and storage systems.
- Handle enterprise storage platforms including SAN, and NAS solutions.
- Ensure data storage aligns with business continuity, backup, and disaster recovery objectives.
- Monitor storage capacity, performance, and utilization, and implement improvements as needed.
- Solve hardware, software, storage, and network issues across multiple environments.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams on deployment, performance tuning, and system optimization.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation.
- Automate routine tasks using scripts and configuration management tools.
- Support incident response, change management, and root cause analysis processes.
Qualifications:
- Good experience in infrastructure engineering, system administration, or a similar role.
- Solid experience with Windows and Linux server environments.
- Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN).
- Proven experience handling enterprise storage technologies (e.g., Dell EMC, Pure Storage).
- Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN).
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware).
- Solid grasp of IT security principles and practices.
Desirable Skills:
- Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, VMware.
- Knowledge of data protection, archiving, and tiered storage strategies.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
