Corporate Communications and Public Affairs Manager

We are looking for a hybrid London based Corporate Communications and Public Affairs Manager to protect and promote and improve Sage’s brand as part of the corporate communications strategic plan aligned with wider business objectives. This person will lead and complete a range of projects and initiatives to help raise the company’s profile with key partners with an emphasis on building content for customers and the social science community. They will look to establish relationships with journalists and individuals from research and higher ed-related associations as part of Sage’s community engagement and public affairs outreach.
Key accountabilities
- Develop and implement promotional campaigns to advance Sage’s brand as a purposeful, independent publisher and demonstrate Sage’s impact in social and behavioral science.
- Play an active and creative role in telling Sage’s brand story with an emphasis on proactive strategic planning, implementation, and management using multiple communication channels
- Stay on top of relevant industry and policy updates to guide and contribute proactively to strategy development and corporate messaging
- Act as an ambassador for Sage within the wider industry and develop Sage’s status and reputation as a leading independent publisher providing outstanding support for social and behavioral science
- Manage reports, setting objectives and monitoring performance in line with Sage’s communication strategy
- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion through messaging and initiatives
Skills, qualifications & experience
- Comprehensive experience in communications.
- Proven track record to communicate effectively across a wide range of customer groups, internal and external, at all seniority levels.
- Consistent strong delivery of written communications using a professional tone of voice across multiple channels
- Strong creative ability to identify communications opportunities where we can communicate Sage messaging in support of our brand, mission, and vision
- Excellent written and presentation skills, including ability to create, deliver, and answer questions within both an internal and external environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work independently and within a fast-changing environment to tight deadlines.
