Sage Research Methods Community Manager, Hybrid

The SRM Community Manager with grow and curate content for Sage Research Methods Community, our peer-to-peer knowledge sharing network for researchers, with blog, webinar, and Sage content. They will collect and publish blog content from the cross-pillar Methods teams at Sage, write original content, facilitate interviews and guests posts from the global researcher community, and plan and host webinars throughout the year.
Key Accountabilities:
- Edit, format, and publish blog content provided by Sage colleagues and contributors.
- Moderate and respond to online comments and discussions.
- Work with the product innovation dept to showcase Sage’s innovation within methods, including promotion of our Concept Grants program
- Ensure the events calendar is up to date, including methods events happening across Sage, as well as external partners
- Ensure Sage Research Methods Community showcases Sage’s cross-disciplinary focus within research methods.
- Build out content to attract an audience of tools and software developers for the research methods community
- Plan and host up to 4 webinars per year.
Skills, qualifications & experience:
- A firm grasp of the principles of research methodology and research design.
- Extensive experience of the research journey from forming a research question, selecting a data collection method, and effectively communicating the findings. Experience teaching or writing about research methods
- A strong writer and communicator, demonstrated by experience in content marketing (writing blogs, articles, etc.) and producing accurate and engaging copy for a range of audiences and online channels.
- Excellent copywriting and proofreading skills
- Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders across the business
- Experienced in organizing virtual events, e.g. webinars.
- Driven, confident in taking ownership of projects, and able to thrive in a fast-paced team
- Able to think strategically and creatively to support awareness of the corporate brand and messaging
- Strong social media skills and ability to optimize our social media outputs for the business
- Adept at building relationships with external stakeholders
