Could you be our new Marketing Manager? Are you?
- Experienced in delivering proven revenue generating campaigns in a B2C setting.
- Knowledgeable in academic publishing, preferably open access journal publishing.
- Experience in building strategy for academic journals through emails and digital ads.
- An effective communicator, both verbal and written, including delivering presentations and writing compelling copy.
- Experienced in project management, with the ability to work as part of a team within tight time pressures.
- Solutions-focused when faced with challenges, with the ability to think critically.
Your new role:
- Manage the marketing and strategic development of the open access journal portfolio at discipline and product level, including devising and implementing strategic marketing plans that are based on the priority level of the journal.
- Play an active role in fostering a customer-focused culture within the team and use a variety of marketing channels (such as email, social media, print and digital advertising, and academic conferences) to reach our customers at multiple touchpoints during the customer experience.
- Devise new digital marketing strategies to drive manuscript submissions and usage to support our department goals.
- Collaborate with stakeholders from across the business to maintain cross department relationships and facilitate effective projects and processes.
- Collaborate with the Marketing communications team on the development of journeys.
- Present quarterly marketing plans and analysis to stakeholders, seek to obtain buy-in and support from Editorial colleagues in the execution of campaigns.
- Devise competitor and market analysis to support marketing strategies to differentiate Sage OA from the competition.
