About our Team:
Epigeum creates and delivers a wide range of interactive, online training courses to support the core activities of higher education institutions around the world, with over 200 universities currently using our courses to advance the knowledge and skills of their academic and professional staff, researchers, and students.
The Publishing team is responsible for developing courses through a unique process of global collaboration between world-class subject experts, partner institutions, and in-house specialists
Could you be our new Learning Designer? Do you have?
- Strong content development skills, preferably in a Higher Education or academic eLearning context.
- Solid understanding of eLearning principles and pedagogical approaches.
- Excellent editing and proofreading skills, and basic knowledge of HTML.
- Experience in assessing review feedback to meet market needs.
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective author relationships.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong time management and prioritization skills.
- Knowledge of IP, copyright, and permissions clearance process.
Your new role:
- Manage authors, provide training on Epigeum processes, write author briefs, and offer feedback and guidance throughout the development process; collaborate with authors to produce blended learning materials.
- Edit and develop draft content, ensuring alignment with course learning outcomes and vision, as set by the relevant Product Manager.
- Recruit and assess feedback from expert and user reviewer panels.
- Lead on the learning design content strategy, in collaboration with authors and in line with the pedagogical framework set out by the relevant Product Manager.
- Contribute to Development Group workshops including leading breakout groups; manage Development Group participation in content development phases and liaise during the alpha review and filming phases.
- Oversee content development from initial drafts to final submission, ensuring effective pedagogical approach and content structure.
- Brief in-house developer and designer on course content builds, and manage post-alpha revisions and beta corrections, including HTML coding of revisions & corrections.
- Brief media assets, ensuring they meet required standards, schedules, and budgets.
- Conduct QA checks on content and identify bugs before launch.
- Create, maintain, and update publication schedules within project management software.
- Manage content-related costs in line with agreed budget.
